Mama's Peruvian Bowls - West Slope

The Fish Ceviche was delicious! We went looking for a good Peruvian ceviche — extra heavy on the lime with sweet potatoes and corn — when our usual spot was sold out and just stumbled upon this place. The ingredients are fresh and the dish is exactly as described and was packaged well for travel. I was initially skeptical of the price but the portion you get makes it absolutely worth it and will keep us coming back. Dont be fooled by the photo — it is bigger than it looks and all the wonderful ingredients are buried under a whole lot of fish. They dont skimp on seafood like many restaurants do. Excited to try more of the menu now that weve disovered this place. What a happy accident!!

The main Tallarines a La Huancaina Dish is tasty. Unfortunately, I dont think the Picarones (4 donuts) traveled well. they were very dens and eggie, but I think that fresh out of the frier they are much better, so Im still giving 5 stars. My driver did take a long time, and I had it delivered quite a distance from the establishment. I will have to visit and try the Picarones (4 donuts) at their restaurant.

Lomo Saltado Dish was amazing! Bowl options are perfect
