Jelana's Bake Shop - West Slope

Jelana and her partner were wonderful today when my daughter and I stopped in for vegan cupcakes. They were out of cupcakes in the case but frosted some fresh just for her! We also snagged some of their hummus from the case. It was oil forward and finished with marinated red pepper. I hope they keep carrying it because my four year old demolished all 8 oz in record time with some pita chips. I had to fight her for a taste! The cake was moist and really identical to a high end conventional cake. I wouldn't have known it was dairy and egg free if I hadn't ordered it that way. It's wonderful to have a custom bake shop in the neighborhood. We will be back for sure!

I found Jelana's bake shop on Google map when I was searching for my daughter's birthday party cupcakes. Since it was close to my house, I decided to swing by. Once I opened the door, Jelana welcomed me with big smiles on her face. She is very nice and easy to talk to. My daughter and her almost twin friend loved the cupcakes and so did their guests. I also loved their sweet potato pie. I will definitely be back to get more. ?

The lovely people at Jelana's baked up two dozen gluten-free cookies for me that very morning. The party guests were delighted and impressed with the wonderful flavor of their cookies.
