Bidrage med feedbackTheir budget-friendly rice dishes are delicious and nutritious, cooked with brown rice which I enjoy once or twice a week whenever I visit. I used to be a meat eater but developed allergies, so I appreciate their vegetarian options.
I recently visited a vegetarian restaurant located in the basement of Yew Tee Point mall, where I enjoyed a hot bowl of soup. With the increasing popularity of vegetarian cuisine, more people are opting for plant-based diets, including carnivores. While vegetarian options are more easily found in Singapore these days, it can still be rare to find a stall that serves quality soup. At this restaurant, the soup was kept warm and served in a metal bowl. On the day of my visit, they offered winter melon and old cucumber soup. I inquired about the old cucumber soup and found that the taste and ingredients were just right, especially considering the price. I also ordered an Assam fish rice set, bringing the total cost of my meal to $8.90.
It’s very hard to get veg version of double boiled soup. Thanks to this stall provides the soup option. Not the best double boiled soup for me but it somehow satisfied my craving. I ordered 2 veg dishes with brown rice and beetroot soup, paid for $6.90. The veg dishes were not hot but they tasted nice. Their Zi Char also very nice! Stir fry broccoli with pea cost $5, comes with rice, very decent portion. Need to tell the staffs to remove dairy items (no egg, no milk etc. when you order for Zi Char as the staffs there are not aware of vegan. In conclusion, definitely a stall I will go back again! :
Between their spaghetti, fried udon and yang zhou fried rice, I'm constantly drawn back to this place because they offer dishes that are surprisingly uncommon on the vegetarian scene. These dishes aren't spectacular, but they do the job when you've got that sudden craving! I really like the fried rice (comes with egg, but they actually took the initiative to ask me if I wanted it removed, so +1 for that), which hits all the right fried rice spots. I found the udon a little salty though but not any less salty than most yakisoba dishes, which are generally like that so you might want to ask for a little less sauce. They serve their dishes in a piping hot mini wok on top of an aluminium foil basket, which gives it a little aesthetic appeal. Otherwise, you can opt for the usual economy rice. Most dishes are about $3 4.
Their economic rice dishes are pretty and healthy, in the rule used for the brown rice .. to it once or twice a week each time I went to yeee point when I did not a vegetarian, but had allergies on meat dishes..
