Don Juan Mexican Grill - West Seneca

My visit for the first time was very nice. I was seated promptly and given our menus. They have a combination of booth and table seating. Complimentary tortilla chips and salsa were given with our drink orders. Salsa is good with a mild taste; not spicy. I ordered the taco bowl and it was very delicious; served hot, (heat), well seasoned, good presentation and made to my liking. Your choice of chicken (my choice), beef or pork with layers of refried beans, rice, lettuce and tomatoes inside a tortilla bowl. I ordered the cheese, queso and sour cream on the side so i can add the amount to my food. Also ordered french fries that were a little disappointing since they were just plain crinkle fries, some mexican seasoning on them would have helped. Our waiter provided excellent service who was friendly and very attentive. Mexican music is played in thr background to add to the ambience, but is a little too loud for my ears. There is a TV to watch while eating too. It was quite cold in the section we were seated, so I suggest bringing a sweater. Cannot comment on the appetizers or the alcoholic drinks since no order was placed at the time of my visit. Overall, I am pleased with my initial visit and would return to try other dishes. Would recommend to others.

Food is awesome! Wait staff is also great! Huge portions so don't eat for about week before you come here to eat!!!!!

The food was fantastic. Beans were smoky and spicy and the chicken in the chimichangas was tender and seasoned perfectly. Salsa with the chips was especially good; I could taste some oregano which gave it a totally different dimension than most other Mexican restaurants in the area. Definitely going here again!

We went here for dinner around 430 on a week night. Food was really good. It took a while to order and get the food, but I think with covid just ending, everywhere is short staffed. Service was slow, but again I think there may have been only one waiter for the entire outside eating area. The taco salad was delicious! My husband ordered the large burrito and it was HUGE! He really liked it. We also ordered take out for our kids. I did get a flight of Margheritasand while they were delicious, it cost $17 for a flight of 4. It was too expensive in my opinion. Overall, food was really good!

Food is great. Delicious when served, and we got enough take home for two more tasty meals. Server was super nice, service fast. Can 't complain about those things. Would give 5 stars except for two serious annoyances. At $50 for a 2 person dinner, these things seemed a bit out of place. The table we were sat at, barely big enough for one person. For 2 people, we spent most of the time repositioning things so our stuff wouldn 't fall off the table. Pro tip...tell them you 'll wait for a booth if they try to sit you at one. The take home containers hold the world record for WORST EVER. Seriously they seem to be made of compressed toilet paper. They were falling apart before we even left...at home we had to peel the saturated cardboard apart from the leftovers. I 'd give 4.5 stars if I could but Google doesn 't allow it. The experience didn 't rate 5 stars ... sorry! So 4 it is....
