Bidrage med feedbackBooked this restaurant for a special occasion -- 40 years since I met my wife . A Saturday night and there was only one other table in use . Totally lacked any atmosphere and the food was terrible. Turkish bread with some indescribable tasting dip which tasted like soap. A $32 steak which was tough as old boots with cauli and broccoli which were tougher . My wife had the coconut prawns which were average accompanied by a side $10 salad made up of soggy lettuce with a couple of tomatoes thrown in . Not sure how this restaurant survives. I use to go there regularly a few years back under the previous owners and the food was great . I doubt this restaurant will survive under the present set up . 1 out if 10
We chose this venue for our son's small wedding and were very happy with the choice. It is a family affair and Eric could not have been more helpful. We had a room to ourselves and were able to decorate to our taste. Also we were able to produce our own menu sheet and selected three entrees and three mains from the a la carte. There was a corkage charge of $7.00 per bottle of wine (we had someone provide the wine) and you can specifiy what you will provide from their bar. Plenty of storage for wine and cakes and other accroutrements which were delivered on the morning of our event. It is very reasonably priced. The calamari, beef, arancini and fish were cooked as we required and all at a very reasonable price. Would recommend this place and our guests enjoyed it. Parking is free in nearby street bays after 6pm which was an added bonus
Unless you fancy dining in an empty old house with a rude and moody owner/manager providing the service (or non-service I should say) and ignoring you, then avoid dining at Table 78 at all costs as if your life depended on it! Food of poor quality and old oil used for frying made the food even more disgusting. Most disappointing retaurant ever! No wonder we were the only ones dining there when we visited!
Haven't been to West Perth for ages so took advantage of a Groupon voucher to give Table 78 a try.We generally prefer eating out mid-week to avoid the crowds, but were surprised to find only one other couple there, as that's usually not a good sign!!You would think that as we were the only table requiring attention, service would be prompt, however it was on the slow side of reasonable - and we had to ask for water twice.Menu was very limited. We chose an entree of garlic prawns which we shared, followed by stuffed, crumbed chicken for me and veal scallopini for my wife. The prawns were OK and the mains were really, just average, and to make matters worse the place was so cold we couldn't wait to get out, and into a warm car.
We had a 3-course dinner here. Both the entree and dessert were nice. The veal for our main course was a bit overdone. The staff were attentive and the overall service was good.
