Bidrage med feedbackAfter a wonderful walk in the autumn sun, we decided to indulge in some tea and cake. The restaurant had a fantastic variety of cakes at affordable prices. It was the perfect way to end a lovely afternoon.
I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The service was top-notch and the staff were extremely friendly. I would definitely come back again. It was lovely.
I had a quick seat and a hot drink outside on the terrace at the back of the palace. The serving area is small, a caravan tucked in the corner with limited facilities because of Covid. There are seats with umbrellas offering nice views of the fountains and gardens. It's a pleasant spot.
We visited this cafe on Sunday, 20 September 2020. I bought a chicken Caesar salad baguette, which quite frankly was awful as there it was virtually all bread with no filling. We had paid £4.65 for this and at this price one would expect better quality. I took the baguette back to the till area where one of the young ladies who was serving was very apologetic and understanding. I was directed towards the serving area where I was served by what I'd describe as a rather rude, abrupt and surly young man. The baguette was exchanged for a cheese and onion pasty, which to be fair was delicious. Blenheim Palace is one of this nations important properties and should be remembered for the right reasons and not for rude staff.
Visited Blenheim Palace twice this month and disappointed on both occasions by Terrace Cafe staff. Rude and extremely grumpy towards me and my daughter. We took our own empty travel mugs and asked for two teas. They advertised ‘Free Soya milk’, on the board, but on both occasions, staff shrugged their shoulders and said they didn’t do Soya milk. The lady making our drinks, was extremely rude, blatantly huffing and puffing at us. Young lad on the till was equally unhelpful, when we pointed out that the wrong labels had been placed by the wrong cakes. Later, we asked if we could have some plain tap water in our cups, and they were filled with warm water! £4.50 for a slice of cake!! Would be happy to pay this, if staff in the cafe were courteous and cheerful.
