The Rose Crown - West Oxfordshire

This pub restaurant in the Burford area is undoubtedly the best. The food is exceptional, and the manager owner's passion is contagious. They bring decades of experience from brand name restaurants in London. The menu is constantly changing, with some staple dishes like tempura prawns. The interior is very cozy and beautifully done without being overdone. It's a pleasure to dine here every time. Just take a look at my other reviews - I'm not easily impressed.

I am lucky enough to travel all over the world and can easily say that this is one of the best dining experiences I have had for a long time. From the minute you step inside you are made to feel welcome by Matt his team who provide melt away service and truly make you feel at home. Stunning plates of food are produced using painstakingly sourced ingredients. You will want to eat it all over again ... if you only you had the room! Beautiful outside in complete with roaring log fires this truly is a gem. Thank-you for making a birthday memorable. We will definitely be back!

There's no better place than this! We have come here for lunch two days in a row, that's how good it is. The cooking quality is exceptional, and the owner Matt is passionate about his pub, his beers, and the ingredients' quality. Visiting this charming little pub is truly a delight. The tempura prawns and sticky toffee pudding were amazing. Thank you, Matt and team. We will definitely be back soon.

We were almost the first to arrive at lunchtime and were welcomed by the owner, Matt, who immediately lit the fire for us as we were chilly. The beautiful small pub soon filled up with happy customers. The food was delicious, with an emphasis on fresh, seasonal ingredients. Highly recommended.

This is a beautiful, traditional, pub not very big, but that makes it even more charming, as there is no room for any fuss no games machines, etc just full of old Cotswold character. All the meals we've had there have been of exceptional quality in both the products used and the cooking. During the winter has gorgeous wood burning stove which adds even more charm on cold winter afternoons/evenings. During the better weather has a lovely garden area.
