Bonds Tavern - West Orange

Just stopped in for a couple drinks before heading to a nearby event but the places was clean and staff was pleasant didn't get a chance to try the food but I would definitely go back to give it a try.

I like the place it's a quiet bar/restaurant that obviously needs more patrons. The food was good bar food and prices were fair. They are hurting for good servers, not sure how the post 8pm crowd is.

Haven?t been here since they first opened and what a difference! Food and drinks were absolutely perfect- house made taquitos, hello! Server and owners were super friendly and atmosphere has really great vibes- couldn?t ask for much more. Highly recommend checking this place out!

We?ve been to Bonds about 5 times. First two times we sat in dining area, service was good. The last three times, we sat at tables in bar area. Service in bar area was not so good each time! It took about 15-20 minutes before anyone acknowledges you. After some time, a guy finally came asked if we?re being helped. Gave us menus and took our drink order, a beer margarita. Once again, the margarita was not good, very tart, no margarita mix, it?s obvious that something is missing from the drink. The same guy brought our drinks scurried away so fast, we never saw him again, not even to take our food order when he?s the one who brought us the menus. Go figure!? Several times we tried getting someone?s attention to order food, but no one, is paying attention. By this time, it?s getting annoying. The workers, manager and or owner must realize and be aware that there?s more than the customers actually sitting at the bar who require attention and good/prompt service. It?s a cool neighborhood establishment but they really need more help as well as customer service training and awareness.

One of the best burgers I?ve had in recent memory. Great nachos and fries too. Excellent beer selection, relaxed vibe this place is quickly becoming one of our favorites in the area! Just note that the kitchen closes earlier than the posted hours I think at 9pm on weekdays and 10pm on Fridays and Saturday?s. Bar stays open later.
