My husband and I were very excited to try Pizza 23 on the recommendation of a friend. The restaurant itself is small but very sweet and accommodating. The staff is also extremely pleasant and the house doggo is a welcomed, happy little visitor. We ordered mozz sticks and a plain cheese pie. Both were cooked perfectly and the sauce was really good. The crust on the pizza was a little different than I am familiar with--almost a cornmeal texture. Again, not unpleasant at all, just different than my native Queens girl was used to. My ONLY complaint is that we ordered cannolis for dessert. Th shells had been prefilled and were then refrigerated. Any cannoli fan knows that this is a big no no as your cannoli shell, which is supposed to have a nice crunch to it, gets soft and chewy . This place is definitely worth a visit and we will be back to try the Grandma Pie which is from what I hear, the best in the area.

Coming from I did not think I would see Grandma's Pizza again go there really just for that must try them for dinner I am looking and no one none of the three prime Italian restaurants up here and yes 23 West is one of the best of the three also makes gnocchi now I understand no one could make it like my uncle in Whitestone but come on give it a try have it as a special or something I bet you it will be good because your sauce is phenomenal

Got 2 pizzas and wings. Did an estimate online and it was going to be $50 something. Got there to pay, it was $80+, had to use ATM because they didn’t allow card so an additional $5 (had to use the atm twice bc I assumed I was taking out around $50, and me and my family memebers (total of 4 people) all ended up having stomach aches and were in the bathroom. 100% not worth the money.
