In an area whose collective foodie IQ is easily a double-digit negative number (in a state known worldwide for...food! , I would never have imagined finding a burger of this quality or with this level of attention to the elements that make a burger of a ground beef patty and a bun, let alone one deserving of the time and effort of review. All this is true of the burger at this place. The name and locale present a very different picture and one would NOT think to order food from here without the recommendation of another trusted foodie. Trust me. I'm a Manhattanite foodie. This burger is the bomb. Ask for the jalapeño bun (Gambino's, if memory serves--think about that while you stare at the storefront and just trust me and go for the fries as long as you can eat them hot and fresh. Dijon they do not have--one can only ask for so much water from a desert well--but the burger itself makes up for it. It tastes homemade and almost free-range minus the look of pretension that patty would have in Brooklyn or the City. The price for this area is high, and I'd gladly pay it again. I just don't know if I could eat it on site. I've never actually gone inside. While I have traveled the world alone and unbothered with no concern, there are local lines I still do not care to cross. From the outside, this place appears to lie on the other side of those lines. Takeout solved that problem. I've heard it was remodeled by the current owners, however, and if they bother to make this amazing burger indoors, perhaps they also upclassed the honky-tonk saloon the spot was before they bought it.

Nice, no drama place to have a few drinks and grab some tasty food. Prices are good. Just wish location was better.

Best place to hang out, shoot pool and eat some great grub.

The food is excellent. The best cheeseburger and fries I've had in a while! The roast beef poboys are awesome as well!!!

I had the beef poboy. It was the best I have ever had. The bred was super fresh. Therefore was tender and had a wonderful flavor. I will be back to try so,e of the other items on the menu.
