Slim Chickens - West Monroe

It was my first time trying Slim Chickens, and I really enjoyed it!

Best chicken tenders in town. They have a lot of different dipping sauces. The desert jars are great too. Always fast service. I eat here at least once a week. My coworkers and I all love this place.

I had never heard of this place, but after reading the reviews, thought I'd give it a go. I don't normally leave bad reviews either, but this place was sub-par. I ordered the Chicks meal which is 3 chicken strips, Texas toast, fries and a drink. The breading on the bottom of the tenders was really wet and fell off. I'm not sure if it was because it sat in grease a long time or what. The fries and Texas toast were nothing special either. I also got a chocolate milkshake with my colleague, it was different than what you'd get at McDonalds. Just a soft serve style milkshake, not real ice cream...honestly, the milkshake was the best part of the meal. We got our food around 9pm, the restaurant was busy, so I know it was fresh...it was just blah, or possibly even below that. That's why with places like Caines or Chik fil A around, I'd never go back here. The other two options always deliver and are great.

Heard about this little place from my daughter in law. We were dying to get out of Farmerville for a little while so we decided to give it a try. Clean with very cute decor. I had chicken and waffles (a first for me). Large Belgium waffle with three chicken tenders. It was very good. The others had the cheesy chicken wrap and coleslaw. The server said that the wrap was spicy so I didn't try it, but my cohorts thought that the sandwich was very good. Good value, great staff, and not very crowded at 5:00. I expect things really pick up later. I think that you will find this to be a good choice.

I haven 't had a bad meal here yet. Best chicken around. Hands down. The jar desserts are really good and in the words of my wife Best chocolate shake in town.
