Bidrage med feedbackIt's so hard to find good Chinese these days but the food was definitely delicious. Have takeaway ordered twice and delicious both times. The restaurant is located on the lake so looking forward to dining there shortly.
My mother was celebrating her birthday and as a surprise the rest of my family went to take her to see a movie in Gold Class. As the session was so late we decided to eat somewhere close to the cinema, first and last time to dine here.We ordered a few overpriced meat dishes for the main and the amount of bland vegetables accompanying the dishes was astounding, and not in the good way. There was barely any meat at all, my family literally dug through the vegetables to find only small morsels of meat for what it was priced. The table setting concluded of plates, a fork (emphasis on A fork), wine glasses, regular glasses and a fake flower in a vase that had visible spiderwebs hanging off of it. It was quite difficult eating our entrees with just one fork during the dining experience. As it is a Chinese restaurant I was expecting some chopsticks or at least a knife to accompany the fork, but to our disappointment none were seen. As dishes arrived and our initial plates and fork was taken away, after receiving entrees, we weren't given any replacement crockery and the waitress brought out our dishes and expected us to use the serving spoon to eat with. There were at most 4 small tables dining and 1 larger group (that had already received their meals) at the time of our dining experience. Nearing the end of our meal my brother was wanting to order another serve of rice as we only ordered one to begin with. The two waiters that were on duty were promptly ignoring/missing our table for service, so my brother had to raise his hand as if he were back in primary school to get attention but to his dismay no one was even glancing in our direction. He didn't receive any service so we collected our things, paid for our disappointing meal and proceeded to the cinema. It would have been a better idea to just eat dinner during gold class to begin with.
There are dodgy Chinese Restaurants and then there are good Chinese Restaurants! This one as soon as you walk in is definitely the Good type. Place looks amazing, staff although dressed casually continually come past to ask if you need anything. Food appears cooked with quality, fresh products. Although on the pricier side, really don't mind paying if the food is of this quality. Highly recommend
Great location with views over the water. Unfortunately that is the only "great" thing about this place. I had the Mongolian prawns which was just a generic stir fry with a few prawns (which were not shelled) and the better half had ginger beef which did not contain an atom of ginger. This is "Chinese food" from 40 years ago. Also the wine list has lines which are not available and not crossed out. Also when our wine arrived it was plonked (no pun intended) precarious on the table with the cap left on; not offered a taste. In addition it was a cold night and there was no heating in the resraurant so all in all a forgettable meal. Price you ask, a lazy $110, good value, possibly not.
Very friendly and good service takeout, food was tasty but not amazing, perfect for a night in after a long work day, but not the best I've had
