Bowen Bistro - West Lafayette

I loved watching Bowen on MasterChef, so I just had to check out his restaurant! The food definitely lived up to my expectations. I came here with my boyfriend for a date night, and it was the perfect choice—every dish we ordered was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. I highly recommend it!

I would give this place zero stars if I could. The food doesn't justify the price, the drinks come straight from a can, and the atmosphere feels just like a Starbucks. If you're looking for a fine dining experience, I recommend Bistro 501. For similar food quality, Texas Roadhouse is a far better choice.

Wow, everything was incredible! I'm so happy to have such a talented chef in our town. We celebrated our anniversary with a fantastic multi-course dinner. While not everything on the menu was available, every dish we tried was outstanding. My steak was incredibly tender, and the searing was the best I’ve ever experienced. The tarot ice cream was a delightful way to end the meal. Everything was truly exceptional. It is a bit pricey, but I felt the experience was worth it. Unfortunately, we've heard that the restaurant may not be around until fall 2022, as the chef is likely moving to New York. That would be a huge loss for our town. If you have the time and budget, I highly recommend visiting before they leave—it was a wonderful dining experience!

We went to Bowen Bistro for our birthdays and we had a great time, the food was amazing. My favorite was the frozen pear appetizer, my bfs was the fillet mignon. And the wine was one of the best wines Ive had in Lafayette, great pairing. My bf has severe peanuts and shellfish allergies and during the reservation we asked if they accommodated people with such allergies and they did. We even got to meet Bowen and he had his Masterchef apron.

After watching Master Chef, and Bowen being one of our favorites to root for, we had to make a reservation! You can see the beauty and passion Bowen puts into his work the moment you enter the establishment. The food was absolutely divine, everything from presentation to taste! Bowen runs the show, seats you, serves you, and, I assume, cooks (obviously lol. He was nothing but kind, very positive, and a great host. We loved the experience through and through!!! : We will definitely be back!!
