Bidrage med feedbackGreat pizzas! Pretty cheap too given how filled they can be with toppings! Came here with someone experienced in New York pizzas and explained to me how the thick square pizzas is also authentic. I’ll take her word for it but regardless it was delicious!
Truly a pizza that from the first bite you want to continue eating more. I didn't see the name of an employee but he was exceptional, very friendly. I want to clean the office where I go every week ? but I can only do it every 15 days and the first thing I do is eat pizza ? from this
I was at the NYC location and loved the spicy slice so was excited to try the one in Hollywood. Unfortunately my fears were correct as it is just not as good. The sauce at the original location is sweet which perfectly balances out the salty pepperoni. It is still good but it is an overly salty pizza without the sweet tomato sauce. I will try it some other time to see if it was just a bad batch
Are you kidding me with this pizza?! Was attending an art show across the street and had a little time before they open, so went to the bar next-door (a must try) and smelled the amazing smells coming out of the pizza place. I decided to order to go On my way home. Staff was friendly, as if I was in my local hometown pizza place. They were attentive and responsive. Excellent effortless customer service. Inside there were pictures of famous people on the wall with the owners and the staff. It was not pretentious as some other places like that. In front of you is this beautiful case of pizza by the slice (a.k.a. square). An amazing selection of pizza. I have a lot of love for the fact that they say (on spliced open pizza box in large bold letters) we do not have ranch, ketchup, mayo, blue cheese, so please don 't ask . I was going to ask for ranch for the pizza (terrible old habit from the kids)...but you know what, it did not need it! The pizza has an amazing amount of robust flavor from the salty and chewiness of the crust, to the slightly sweet garlicky tomato sauce, to the creaminess of the mozz and finished with the meatiness of the toppings. You don 't need to add ANY flavor. Just WOW! So friggen ' good. I like my pizza, slightly crunchy on the crust, so I threw it into the oven for just a few minutes when I got home, and it came out even better!Parking is a real b*tch so plan accordingly. I was lucky enough to get there early on a Saturday and some black Tesla was clearly incompetent in parking on a hill and parked in the middle of two spaces. I parked behind them up right to their bumper to clear the driveway behind me (and in the red) for a little while. I didn 't get a ticket, so it was my lucky day.
This place is a hard pass for me for a repeat encounter. Price, parking, no seating area, and food quality are all not to my expectations. The pizza was super greasy and the dough was gooey. If you are a true pizza enthusiast you'd consider going elsewhere. I had the 4 cheese pizza which is a Sicilian Style square cut sheet, the Margherita, and the smoky Margherita. The thin crust New York style is the best and in all honesty should be the main focus here. The pizza dough on the Sicilian leaves more to desire. It tasted like it was made with an all purpose flour, sugar, and a ton of yeast. It settled super heavy in my stomach and made me feel bloated. Hard pass for a round 2. I love similar thick crust pizzas such as Roman style but never feel bloated after. Parking on the meter nearby was $4, there also wasn't seating inside the restaurant. You have to stand at a bar counter. For the same money I spent I could have gone to Eataly at Century City to get better quality food. The workers here are friendly and treat customers nicely which is why I've given 2 stars. However if it is late at night and you are trying to sop up the booze in your stomach this might be a tenable option.
