Bidrage med feedbackWhat 's up with your prices?I used to come to this place every morning for empanadas and other treats but lately I have been very disappointed. I understand that inflation sucks but come on; $7 freaking dollars for a piece of tres leche cake which by the way it was dried as hell. Tres leches are meant to be moist from the bottom up and that was not the case with this cake. I got some shrimp and rice as well and when I come home there were only 4 sad shrimps and it cost me $16 bucks if I 'm not mistaken. $16 dollars for a fried of rice and 4 shrimps. Empanadas also went up. Basically it seems that everything went up there. If you walk a couple of blocks down to la Vienesa, you 'll find similar type of food relatively at a lower price. If you go up a couple of blocks same thing. They are either being greedy or getting advantage of the whole inflation bonanza. I 'm done with them.
They did not have buñuelos for breakfast at 9:30am. How's this possible? I asked for coffee and pandebono; none were good. I'm sorry, but it's not worth the visit. We have to go to Jackson Heights.
The place has delicious food and a polite staff. They have cooked savory food as well as sweet treats. All is visible through glass. The savory foods are delicious and fresh, and kept warm by a steam table. The service is quick and it's easy to order. The only tip I would give is to make sure the sweet treats are fresh. I will revisit and change to 5 starts if the treats are fresh next time I visit.
Best mole, meaty ribs and most tender beans Ive ever had. The service was excellent and timely from cordial and caring staff. Also the prices are extremely reasonable. Five stars all the way.
Walked here after getting my vaccine shot because I felt like I deserved a treat! They had so many good looking pastries I didn't know which to pick because they all looked so good! I ended up choosing the homemade Flan and it was so good!!!!
