Bidrage med feedbackHigh-quality secondhand bookstores are becoming increasingly scarce, but this one is a hidden gem that is definitely worth a visit. I recommend making a pilgrimage to this unique shop, and while you're there, I suggest checking out the nearby abbey as well. During my two visits, I found shelves filled from floor to ceiling with books, and even more books stacked on tables waiting to be sorted. It's a fantastic place to explore and perhaps stumble upon an interesting read or two. This bookshop is even mentioned in my 1992 and 1993 editions of Drif's Guide to Secondhand Bookstores in the British Isles. And if you need a break from browsing, be sure to stop by the cozy cafe for a treat.
Little cafe tucked away at the side of the bookshop. Friendly staff and food made freshly upon order. Very pleasant server.
This coffee shop is located at the back of a bookshop and offers decent coffee and a variety of snacks. The main attraction, however, is the wide selection of second-hand books piled high on two floors. It's a rare find and a great place to spend a relaxing hour browsing through books and enjoying a cup of coffee.
We visited this combined bookshop and coffee shop after discovering it by chance, just past the abbey. The reads, cakes and drinks are excellent. Visit soon!
