The menu offers a fantastic variety of options to choose from. The food was delicious, cooked perfectly and was a real treat. The hosts were welcoming and friendly. I am looking forward to returning.

My partner and I were denied entry to the restaurant for dinner because I was wearing an Armani tracksuit. The staff were very rude and arrogant. The restaurant seemed more like a party pub where people were drinking and eating. This was surprising as I had been there before in my dirty work clothes without any issue.

Upon entering, we noticed that the bar area was crowded with a group of workers, making it difficult to order drinks with only one staff member (who we think was the owner) handling everything. We weren't sure how to order food, whether at the bar or at a table, so we opted to order at the bar. However, we didn't have a table number, which added to the confusion. As others have mentioned, the restaurant was cold because the door was left open, but we later found out that it could easily be closed. Despite these minor issues, the food was fantastic and everyone in our group enjoyed their meals and drinks. The staff even gave a treat to our dog to enjoy while we ate. With some improvements such as more staff, an online menu (or at least a picture on Facebook), a clearer ordering process, and an automatic door closer, Skipper's could be a great dining spot. I would definitely return, especially for 'wings Wednesday'!

Met with friends for an evening meal, the food was excellent however the guy who runs the pub is extremely rude. He has absolutely no customer skills and it completely ruined what would have been a great evening. We won’t be returning unfortunately

Group of six, and we all enjoyed the excellent roasts. Friendly staff with Rudi leading the front of house team and Rachel the superb chef. Two minor points: a little warmer please, as our old bones feel the cold! Also, some saturation of the staff at times, with Izzy struggling to provide drinks and take food orders. Highly recommended.
