The Master's Baker - West Chester

Just received our first cake from The Master’s Baker for a birthday celebration. It was very good. We were initially thrown off by the plastic straws they use to secure the flowers on top of the cake. But after that confusion (they should include a warning on the box, we almost threw the cake out) we were fine. Very moist chocolate cake with not overly sweet icing. Overall, a great looking cake with good flavor. We paid extra for the cannoli layer of icing in the middle of the cake. That was definitely not worth it since you could not tell it was there.

The Master’s Baker was included with our wedding venue options for a wedding cake. We had a tasting and loved the cake. There are so many options when it comes to choosing your cake, icing and look. Our wedding cake turned out beautiful. The bakery gives a complimentary cake on your one year anniversary which is so thoughtful, and it was delicious!

This is such a fine bakery!! The cake we designed for our daughter's intimate wedding was created perfectly as I instructed. It appeared as if there was bouquet on top and the colors were exquisite. I'm so happy we were able to order through their online process as their your communication was excellent!

The Masters Baker was incredible to work with. We booked them for our wedding this year, which has been difficult with COVID, having to reschedule everything twice—once for having to change our date, and then again to change from an indoor Country Club location to an outdoor reception in our own backyard last minute. Through all of the change of plans and rescheduling they were super responsive and willing and able to switch plans with us no problem. We first had our wedding cake tasting at their shop in West Chester, and first of all their bakery location is gorgeous and comfortable inside, where they offered us coffee and had a nice waiting area. Then we were taken into a private tasting room where they had a gorgeous chandelier, beautifully designed cakes on display, and a huge flatscreen tv which our wedding cake coordinator used to easily show us all different styles of cakes. That was such a nice touch which made browsing the styles and designs so nice and easy, and fun! Then the tasting! All of the flavors of cake and icing were so delicious, I wanted them all! We chose pink champagne and orange velvet. We were so impressed by the unique and rich flavors that were anything but boring cake! And my husband and I aren’t even really cake people, and let me tell you, these cakes were so incredibly moist and flavorful. The day of the wedding our cake arrived perfectly and looked so gorgeous. The decorating style and buttercream flowers were exactly the colors and look we wanted. I wouldn’t have changed a thing! I definitely recommend them for any bakery needs!

My husband and I worked with the Master Baker for our wedding on 10.11.20. My husband and I were provided with choices to pick from regarding their flavors and fillings for our wedding cake and cupcakes. My friends and family enjoyed the taste testing in the comfort of our home due to COVID. The Master Baker made it easy for us to still engage in wedding traditions from a distance! I received glowing reviews from our wedding guests about the cupcakes! Especially my dad who throughly enjoyed eating all of our left overs repeating they were the “best cupcakes he’s ever had!”
