Bidrage med feedbackMy only suggestion to potential clients would be to make sure to send your full payment early if you decide to hire this company for your event. I recommend sending payment, including a certified check, at least 30 days before the event to avoid any last-minute issues. In my experience, the caterer requested full payment via certified check a week before the event, which unfortunately caused a bit of stress for the hosts. Due to a delay at the post office, the payment did not arrive in time for the event and there was some pressure on the hosts to come up with a second payment to cover the outstanding balance. Luckily, a generous guest offered to help cover the funds needed, and the event went on smoothly. After the event, the caterer confirmed that the payment had arrived at their business on the day of the event. Overall, the food and service were excellent, but I believe there could be improvements in the payment process to avoid similar situations in the future. Offering alternative payment methods like Zelle and requesting full payment well in advance could prevent any last-minute issues and ensure a stress-free event for everyone involved.
A piece of advice for potential customers: if you decide to hire this company for your event, make sure to send your full payment well in advance. Do not wait until a week before the event to send a bank-certified check, as requested by the company. In my case, the payment was delayed in the mail and did not arrive on time for the event. While the company never explicitly stated that they would refuse to serve without payment in hand, there was significant pressure on me as the host to come up with a second payment (a substantial sum of money) to cover the outstanding balance. It is worth noting that the tracking number showed that the check was already at the local post office of the catering company, yet they continued to demand payment until just hours before the event. Thankfully, a generous guest at the event offered to cover the remaining balance. After the event, the caterer confirmed that the certified check had arrived on the day of the event, despite the delays. Rest assured, the guest who covered the additional payment will be promptly refunded. Although everything worked out in the end, the situation caused unnecessary stress for me as the host. As someone who experienced this ordeal firsthand, I believe offering a mobile payment option would have been more convenient for everyone involved, instead of relying solely on a certified check. Additionally, I suggest that the company require full payment (including a certified check) from customers at least 30 days prior to the scheduled event to allow for any potential issues to be resolved beforehand. If I were the caterer in this situation, knowing that the check was in transit and not delayed due to the customer's negligence, I would have trusted that it would arrive on time and not put my client in a difficult position. This experience has taught me the importance of having an efficient payment policy in place.
