Bidrage med feedbackI went to this hotel the night before enlisting in the Marine corps. It had great personnel all friendly people and helpful. It has a pool and very clean rooms. It is in a very convenient location close to all sorts of places in Minneapolis, St Paul. They have a gym, pool and hot tub for any guests in the hotel. They were kind enough to give us a wake up call and served us breakfast at 5:00 AM. I had a great time while I was only there for one night.Food drinks: Breakfast/dinner and a bar for drinks.
This hotel just makes you smile when you walk through the door! It’s so nicely decorated. The pool area was nice and big. No little kid pool. The room was spacious and again, decorated so nice! No free breakfast but they do have a restaurant that looks pretty good. We did not indulge. Would definitely stay here again!
Renaissance is a solid stay anywhere you go. Always priced well, it is a credit to the Bonvoy fleet. This location is quirky and fun. The details of the decor will stand out memorable and are a great conversation piece if you're traveling with others. The rooms are comfortable, quiet and homey. The pool and fitness center are both well kept and have what you need. The lounge has an interesting indoor pool view and is fairly well stocked with snacks and drinks. The breakfast was a simple egg, potato, chicken sausage plate with some toast options which were all pretty good. All in all, it's worth your money to stay here. The only drawbacks are that it was weirdly hard to find water after 9pm. None in the lounge, none up front and only a couple on the store. The second issue came during our event, when they decided to close the mens room at noon for cleaning. Just after checkout, right at lunch time? Some critical thought could have gone into the details.
The room itself was nice however i put the do not disturb on the door and housekeeping walked right in without knocking. I said we didn't need anything and she stood there and stared for a while then left. Then checkout day checkout is at 11am I asked for no wakeup call and sure enough housekeeping pounded on the door at 900-930am. It was uncomfortable.
Pros: Our room was quite large and relatively quiet. Breakfast in the Club Lounge was peaceful, with a good selection of hot and cold food, and good coffee. Breakfast in the hotel bar/restaurant was not quite as good (probably because the food buffet was not being refreshed as frequently as it should be), but the hostess/waitress there did a spectacular job of taking good care of the guests all by herself. The bartender at night also was competent and friendly. Cons: On one day we left our room just after 11 am, and took the do not disturb sign off our door, in full view of the two housekeepers who were standing in the hallway near their cart. When we returned at 5:30 pm, our room had not been cleaned. We called the front desk to report the problem, but the man who answered was nonplussed, asking only does anything need to be done now? instead of apologizing and offering to have our room cleaned. To make matters worse, when we later complained in person at the front desk because we only had received clean towels and not had our room cleaned, the same male front desk clerk suggested that perhaps we had left the do not disturb sign on our door all day, which was not the case. So he was trying to falsely pin the blame on the hotel guest the antithesis of good customer service. Our room had several problems. The water flow in the sink faucet in the bathroom was just more than a trickle, and the water pressure in the shower was only a slightly better mediocre. The air conditioner was extremely loud.
