Sea Fuel - West Banks

Delicious, reasonably priced and friendly staff Would definitely recommend this place

I had been indulging in a lot of fish and chips lately and Dr. L was really in the mood for some deep-fried comfort food. So, I decided to do some research on the most popular Fish and Chip restaurants in Brisbane before booking a table for dinner at Sea Fuel in West End last Friday. Fortunately, we had made a reservation because the restaurant was incredibly popular and crowded by peak hour.

Fancy fish and chipsThis contemporary restaurant on the ground floor of the Glass Factory in West End serves upscale fish and chips. We dropped in for dinner on a Monday night and ordered the seafood platter for two which was delicious. All the seafood was panko crumbed so it was super crispy, fresh and not oily. We loved the beer battered chips, the fresh crunchy Asian slaw, the generous serving sizes (including lots of lemon slices) and even the tartare sauce! It was very reasonably priced and the service was really friendly!

Came here on a weekday evening, the place was packed. Despite the busy hour, the staff was easily approachable and the service was rather quick.<br/ <br/ Ordered the Seafood Platter which comes with the salad. The deep-fried seafood served was not greasy, crunchy texture on the outside and juicy on the inside. For the fresh seafood, I had the oyster, which was tasty. Also ordered the Baby Octopus, which was slightly too salty, but matches well with the sauce. Also had the BBQ Prawn Skewers; the price was rather expensive for the portion size.<br/ <br/ Might come back here in the future.

Beautiful venue, delicious food, and excellent service. No complaints whatsoever.
