Geronimo's Mexican Dining - Wellton

Been going here since a child, then missed several years when I moved to PHX for school. Cane back again after original owner passed and his brother(? Took over, and the food and service is still amazing, wonderful and wholesome. Everytime I go somewhere and try their horchata it's always this horchata that I think of and hope it tastes just as good. No one has ever competed unfortunately. This place is a staple! I didn't get pictures of the food because it was THAT good. Authentic flavors, fresh tasting and looking; the red sauce on my machaca chimi was killer. Our server was friendly, helpful and accomodated our special requests. Well worth the slight detour off the interstate. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The atmosphere is clean and decent. Staff is nice. Having come from Southern California, I was spoiled with my Mexican food choices. Since coming to Arizona, where I thought the Mexican food would be stellar, I 've been disappointed. This place has ok food. Nothing I 'd crave to go back and have. Their margaritas were even bland. I don 't understand the great reviews. I can only think most of those people w/good reviews have never had truly good Mexican food. I long for San Diego 's authentic Mexican food.
