Simply said—this is the best place around. It is a known as a destination for great coffee in an over-caffeinated capital. I've yet to have anything less than a perfectly-made coffee at Machete; an act that is truly appreciated because the coffee itself is incredible. On top of their wonderful beverages, their service is fantastic. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and always happy to help. Highly recommended.

One of the best cafes in Wellington and certainly my favourite. It's got everything going for it: Amazing coffee variety, delicious treats, a sublime atmosphere, fantastic staff and a seriously cute little doggo!

Been popping in here for a couple months now. Comfortably the best espresso that I know in town, with a delightful rotating guest bean for fellow enthusiasts. I have also tried a veganised avocado smash and it was gorgeous. Can't recommend this place enough, especially their gorgeous head of marketing near the door.
