Esplanade - Weimar

We ate dinner here our first night staying at the Leonardo Hotel. I ordered the regional Thuringian specialty pork neck and roasted potatoes and my wife ordered a pasta dish. The pork neck was fabulous, infused with a berry fruit flavor and tender. The roasted potatoes were seasoned to perfection It was one the best meals we had in our nearly month travel through Romania, Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic, and Germany. The pasta dish was also very good. The service was attentive but not overbearing. The restaurant has a nice candlelight atmosphere.

Waren gestern abend im hotel Buffet essen... Für 20 Euro war es sehr reichhaltig und auch sehr gut...Service war super.

Sie sind bemueht in der Kuecheaber als Hotel und 4 Sterne erwarte ich was mehr !!!!So mussten wir zum Kaffeetrinken in ein anderes Hotel fahren,warum bin ich dann dort ?????

Die Karte ist nicht groß aber dafür sind die Speisen lecker und stilvoll angerichtet. Das Personal ist sehr nett und auch Extrawünsche werden ohne Probleme prompt erfüllt. Einziger Wermutstropfen es ist nicht preiswert aber es ist sein Geld wert.

This is the restaurant in the Leondardo hotel in Weimar.One of the remarks I had to make about the Leonardo is a lack of enthusiasm with the staff (it IS a big place) but this is not at all true for the restaurant: I found the staff (especially the Maître d') very keen, helpful and enthusiastic.The cuisine is very very German -- not very refined but, what we ate here was good and tasty.Normally speaking I avoid restaurants in a hotel, but I was tired on my arrival date and afterwards, I must admit, I was very glad I went.
