Bidrage med feedbackA great pub. Excellent attentive staff. Delicious food over and above usual pub fare. I had filet of venison with beetroot and a cocoa based sauce which was amazing. Great choice of fish or curry and the usual pies etc. Desserts were divine with a deconstructed banoffee pie and a brownie with exceptional coconut ice cream (non dairy). Can't wait to go back.
Food delicious staff so professional and knowledgeable especially Calum. It was a great delight and we will be back soon. Thank you
The Eight Bells exceeded expectations on every front. The service was impeccable, roast outstanding, and as a large group we even had a private dining room which was perfect for a good laugh after a long walk!
We had a walk on the South Downs and ended up at the Eight Bells for lunch. It is a lively friendly pub with superb food and really good service. We had a glass each of the Romanian red wine which was brilliant. Very busy for a good reason. Lovely place.
Visited this morning around 10.30am. Took 10 mins to find someone to serve me Knocked on side door outside several times could hear voices ,no reply When I finally got served in bar by woman who looked like she had emerged from cleaning toilets ,I commented on their fancy coffee machine. It wasn’t so fancy,I downed coffee in less than a minute . I commented to the woman serving me that maybe their machine isn’t so fancy my coffee was lukewarm received no reply . I left continued my walk . I have visited this pub many times in the past 45 years for lunch dinner,no issues. Won’t be returning anytime soon
