Shoney's Of Waynesville

Stopped here for some breakfast a week ago. The food was alright- fresh items coming out of the kitchen often, but their sauces and gravy items on their breakfast bar were congealed and had a thick skin over them like they had been sitting for a while, and had bits of various other foods in them (not the staffs fault). The food itself was alright though- eggs were cooked perfectly, biscuits were soft, and bacon was crispy! The chicken tenders with some syrup were good. Standard breakfast buffet fare options plus some limited lunch/dinner selections were avalible. Our server was super friendly and sat us somewhere nice. The restaurant itself (at no fault to the staff, of course) had a very poorly planned layout in my opinion. The dining area is very awkwardly situated, open, and provided more of a cafeteria feeling experience than a restaurant.

Excellent service and great food cooked just right.

Eleven of us ride in to get a big breakfast before we rode back home. The folks working were great. We were so happy to have a buffet breakfast, and when food ran out they were quick to refill. Really pleased with our dining experience there today.
