Slowboat - Watford

I have been ordering food from this restaurant for years and it is always amazing. I especially love the crispy chilli beef and salt and pepper chicken.

We waited for more than two hours for our food to be delivered. I called to complain and was told it was on its way. After 2 and a half hours, it still hadn't arrived, so we went to the restaurant. The food hadn't even been prepared and the staff were extremely rude and unhelpful. Additionally, they were still accepting orders even though they couldn't fulfill them. Absolutely terrible. Avoid this place.

I placed an order nearly two hours ago and still have not received it. The delivery service is extremely slow and disappointing. I will not be ordering from this restaurant again.

Please do not be fooled by the outside of the place. Although admittedly the front looks quite grotty, the food they serve is lovely. The only complaint would be the time of the delivery, The estimated time of an hour went past and it was another 40 minutes before they arrived. When I called to enquire as to the whereabouts of the food they just said they were busy. Fair enough but wouldn't it be good customer service for someone at the take away to call their customers just to keep them informed?

Ordered from here rather than our usual takeaway what a mistake! Delivery was longer than expected and when it eventually arrived, it left a lot to be desired! First of all, when unpacking the food from the bag, i noticed there was some sort of liquid all over everything. This was later identified as sauce from one of the dishes, it had got into some of the other packages. The food itself was mediocre at best. This next bit is pretty horrific so please read! While eating his food, my father noticed something sharp in his mouth. He quickly took it out to find it was a 5cm long piece of metal! After an inspection of the metal, it appeared to be part of a scourer which actually cut his mouth! Disgusted, my husband called to complain. They must get a lot of things like this happen as they quickly told him it was part of the scourer used on the pans and to go in to collect a refund! Disgusting place!
