Harvey's - Waterloo

The restaurant appeared to be decent and the staff were very helpful. I was excited to try it out as I had heard good things, but it didn't quite meet my expectations. I guess I prefer McDonald's.

I was in Kitchener for business and visited the restaurant located at 1157 Victoria Street. The Angus burger I ordered was delicious and freshly made. However, I was disappointed with the onion rings as they had an off taste. It seems that CARA Foods, the company that owns the chain, should ensure that their staff change the oil more often. The staff seems to reuse the oil repeatedly, which affects the taste of the food. This experience has made me reluctant to return to this location when I visit from Toronto. I believe that oil should be changed weekly to ensure fresh-tasting food. It seems that Harvey's is not the only chain guilty of not changing their oil frequently enough.

It is located right on a bike trail and doesn’t have a single bike parking spot. The personal was polite and friendly. The burgers were decent.

I visited this restaurant for the first time and used the drive-thru. On March 17th at 7:24pm, I encountered two girls working at the window. Unfortunately, I found them to be quite rude. Despite greeting them, they stated that they do not accept Scene numbers. Their manner of speaking was not respectful. I hope that the restaurant can work on improving customer service in the future. Thank you.

Picked up 2 burgers and fries. The burgers were completely room temperature. They gave them to me quickly, but I would have preferred someone put the precooked burgers on the grill to at least heat them up. The prices are very high (like everywhere), but one would at least expect a hot burger.
