Bootsies - Waterloo

Better than expected. I had cut the cod, the others had chicken roast steak, which they all enjoyed. The cuts were good, maize flour bread. Served hot, and crispy with a grilled lemon half, very nice touch. I had Fritten and Mac n cheese, good, but nothing to write at home. The flower pot bread and the honey butter served with it was delicious, also a nice touch. The whole food was served hot and the service was perfect. Very pleasant experience. Will definitely go back.

The food was fresh and really good each of the 4x we were there to eat. We went 15 minutes before closing time and although I felt bad in the last minute, they were friendly and very courteous and did not seem frustrated at all that we showed up in the last minute and fried chicken, which takes 20 minutes to cook. Their food was fresh and they serve great portions. Her fried chicken is amazing and so is her selection from the fresh bakery. You have a gift shop like Cracker Barrel, but it is a family business with a very personal, southern hospitality charm.

UPDATE: We had a not so good experience with an order that was grounded. Bootsie went beyond and beyond to repair it. I am impressed by how much they care about their customers. We had a great experience. The place is enchanting, our waitress was great. You bring bread with this delicious sweet butter. My salad was great. You don't know why people are so hard... They are a new company that still tries to get their groove! I am glad to have such a place:

This place has the same setup and feel of the cracker barrel chain, except there is also a complete service bakery integrated. This was our first time here, and we all ordered something else to share. Everything was excellent. The service was also good. Two smaller handles. First they serve only breakfast in the morning. I work nights, so I was looking forward to the land breakfast. I wasn't disappointed with my selection, but I was cheated that I couldn't get breakfast. Secondly, the transition from the dining area to the bathroom was a start. The general area is made in damped classic land earth tones with dimm illumination and the bathroom is brightly illuminated white. It took a few seconds to adjust white eyes. Like, Star Trek remake too much lens torch bright. It was an interesting design choice. Overall but, very happy with my experience.

Went last week with party of 12. Good service. Many at our table had fried chicken, a good choice. My daughter liked the meatloaf and son in law said his steak was great. My side dishes needed more attention by the chef, but not too bad. Thank you for taking on the task of feeding our large group.
