Bidrage med feedbackFirst time back here last night, mid January 2020, since my initial review attending a birthday party . We came to see a monthly free jazz concert by an exceptional band and it was the first time I ordered from the dinner menu. Service was slow but friendly as many patrons had already arrived before the show and were busy eating and drinking. My partner went to the bar to get our first two drinks before anyone waited on us. Apps were Philly cheese steak eggrolls, crunchy and delicious, and chicken wings. We chose from a large variety the teriyaki wings. An impressive size and flavorful, but my partner could not eat them, regrettably, because they were coated with sesame seeds. I only ate one, so he took the rest boxed up to rinse off and eat the next day. The accompanying celery was fresh. Our main dishes were polar opposites. His special dinner menu selection of a twelve ounce NY strip steak with gorgonzola was incredible. The sides were mixed cooked spinach good; mashed potato so so. My Shepherd's pie was below par. If you've ever had a really good one, either with lamb or ground beef, any Shepherds pie that is mediocre is disappointing. Little beef, the same so so bland mashed potato lacking in body on top, way too many peas which were perhaps canned, and corn. I'm in the group that doesn't believe corn should be in this recipe. Our drinks were tall with a small to medium pour. No bread or salads came with our dinners but it is a pub. The jazz band and singer for this night, a local veteran radio host, did a great job, so the difference in the food we ordered didn't matter as much as it would have otherwise. Many items to choose from on their menu, from burgers to fish, so there are sure to be many fulfilling meal choices for all who cme here for some good music or a nice time. We attended a birthday party here yesterday and the buffet food, bar fare, was very good. A large place, our reserved section still left much of the seating area for the public as well as the bar. Similar to a Hard Rock Cafe, with guitars, surfboards and posters as decoration.
It wasn't crowded at all on a Tuesday night. You have to try the Fried Cheeseburger Raviolis appetizers ! My husband had the fish chips which he says was to much for him (you get the decent size of fish) but it was good except the fries were a little overcooked. I had the Pan Roasted Cajun Salmon it was delicious! They didn't have mints for the Mojito drink I wanted . But my husband ordered a hendrix mix drink except they didn't have mints so he had to go with out it but the drink was still good. The waitress was very attentive pleasant. Definitely coming back, especially for that appetizer !
Last night, October 22nd, was my first time ever visiting Shamrock. The food was great, not only the taste but it was ordered and in front of me really quick. The staff were super nice and the alcohol selection was on point. I live an hour away from Shamrock, and would definitely go back.
Great food, great crowd, great venue. My band 1 wild night Bon Jovi tribute was treated spectacularly. Great place for a show!
A very nice and clean place. Good food and fair prices. They get good bands too! 5 Stars all the way!
