Bidrage med feedbackHappy 10 Year Anniversary to us, Woot, Woot. Scored a resy for Regiis Ova and it was amazing. Two nights before we were at The French Laundry. Sort of a Chef Keller weekend. Will pribably shop at Finesse later. Anyway, back to caviar. We started off with the half bottle of very chilled Belvedere Vodka, a bottle of Modicum champs, the house made chips with onion dip, and 5 different caviars. Also had the truffled grilled cheese. I tried to talk my partner into just going sturgeon fishing in the delta but that didn't fly. As you would expect the service was impecable and caviar beyond amazing. We savored every bite. We have had caviar everytime at TFL when served Oysters and Pearls, but tasting these different ones is truly an experience. So here is the downside. Yes, i know, how could there be a downside? Well here it is. Sitting there eating caviar with chilled vodka is addictive and I want more, like right now!!!!! Our trips to Napa/Yountville are going to start taking a bigger bite out of my wallet. Thanks Dustin for a great experience.
Late review from visits in January:This is such a gorgeous venue, classy, bougie. Yummy food caviar service. My friends liked their drinks. We celebrated a birthday here and they brought out macarons and a giant candle (not pictured). Classy ambience. Great service. Love the live jazz band. A nice addition to Yountville. Would go back, would recommend.
Great food with live Jazz music! Absolutely an amazing experience! The Uni Toast was the start of the night. A must try! Uni was so fresh and the toast was toasted perfectly. I would give it a 10stars if I could! Will definitely visit again.
Our second to last night of our Napa Valley vacation found us having an amazing experience at Regiis Ova, where the sommelier recommended a great sparkling wine for us to enjoy throughout the evening with the caviar flight we ordered. The jazz band produced wonderful vibes throughout our experience as we sat on nice leather lounge chairs in front. One of Thomas Keller's restaurants that's in downtown Yountville (we also went to Ad Hoc, Bouchon Bistro, and Bouchon Bakery for reference), Regiis Ova was the right place for us considering we had been doing wine tasting and having heavy meals for most of our stay, and needed something a tad lighter. Doing a caviar flight with a bottle of sparkling wine was the right choiceThey have a great bar area and offer a nice variety of different items for easy bites to complement the sparkling wine. Their caviar was fantastic. Our server made sure we had everything we needed and was incredibly accommodating. We had a bottle of Blanc de Blanc (but I forgot the winery's name), which was very refreshing and complemented the caviar flight we had such as the Golden Ossetra, the Ossetra, the Siberian, and the Royal varieties. We had a prime table in front of the jazz band performing who were delightful and produced good sounds and vibes while we enjoyed our sparkling wine and caviar. We would come back in a heartbeat.
Had dinner here on a Friday night. The staff was friendly, but it took our server probably five minutes to get the foil and cork out of a bottle of champagne. No problem, maybe he was new-ish. The main issue we had was the band bringing around a top jar, then asking for Venmo when you didn't have cash. At an establishment like this, it was a bit tasteless. Totally understand the hustle and we did tip the band, they were great, however the last thing you want durning a nice evening is feeling you need to tip cash on the spot or Venmo. The other issue is we paid to have a prime spot in front of the band, which went on at around 7 when they were supposed to go in at 6:30. The band members were in their phones and telling each other how late they were, it was just money wasted to reserve the allocated space. I wouldn't go again unless it was maybe for a glass of champagne prior to dinner elsewhere.
