The Avenue - Washington, D.C.

The Carne Asada salad was delicious. My friends got the Peace Chicken Sandwich and loved it. We shared a Key Lime cake for dessert and wish I had just got one for my own. Waitress was a little inexperienced, but very friendly and helpful. We had a problem with the review that was resolved immediately.

My husband and I share the DC roles. That was excellent and I would bring her back to a heartbeat! I had the Cheeseburger: it was very tasty, but too big. It might be nice to offer a single Patty option. Mac and cheese were disappointingly dirty.

The restaurant had a casual, friendly vibe; perfect for a light meal after a show at the Avalon Theater. The food selections had a level of refinement and pleasing taste, suggestive of the culinary expertise of an experienced chef.

It is hard to imagine a more average and unfulfilling meal. The ribs were tasteless and the fries had no seasoning and added nothing to the meal. The salad was bland and tasteless. The staff was nice but there is simply no reason to ever return to this establishment. I had to stop and get carry out on the way home.

It’s the Avenue and Capital Crab for me! This place is awesome! The food was cooked to perfection, the service was outstanding, I mean excellent. Now let’s talk about the crabs. Some the best crabs I had this year. Everything was just excellent. I would definitely recommend everyone to go there. I’m going back Today!
