BLT Steak Restaurant - Washington, D.C.

The food was fabulous as expected. The service was the true difference. This was by far the best service experience we have had since the onset of covid. To no fault of these restaurants, in the tight labor market service has been a challenge. BLT got it right!!

Steaks were very good. The cocktail menu was a bit small and odd. The sides are very good but smaller than they used to be. The pate at the beginning was good but again much smaller than what they used to give us. Overall solid but not quite the night out it used to be. It used to be an awesome spot with a high end vibe, now its it is an expensive/casual steak house where you could roll in in flip flops and wouldn't be turned away

BLT Steak was very good. You can't beat the taste of the cowboy rib eye! The true gem is the popovers that they deliver fresh. They are huge and they are so kind to share the recipe with you to try your hand at home. The service is very good. Be sure to come hungry

I wanted to treat my steak loving boyfriend to a wonderful meal and this experience did not disappoint. Every detail was well taken care of by the wonderful staff. The spectacular service began prior to our arrival with a wonderful phone call from the host to confirm our reservation earlier in the day. He was so kind and asked if I had any preferences for our meal. I kindly asked if we could be seated in the elongated booth area and he ensured that this request would be accommodated. We were running minutes late due to inclement weather and called to inform them while driving. They were very kind and held our table. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the host. He confirmed our reservation details and escorted us to our requested table. After setting in we were immediately offered water of our preference and a cocktail order was taken. We ultimately ordered a Manhattan, margarita, filet, ny strip, oysters, tuna tartare, shrimp cocktail, hen of the woods mushrooms, creamed spinach and chocolate peanut butter moose. The steaks were cooked exactly to the desired temperatures and seasoned to perfection. The food was spectacular, but the service was equally impressive. The entire team worked seamlessly and in perfect harmony. The bartender even personally delivered our second round of cocktails. The restaurant was moderately busy (around capacity), but our server snd the entire team made us feel as if we were the only guests. Overall service was prompt, friendly but not too intrusive and the timing of courses was perfect. The service and culinary team are truly on top of their game at BLT DC. The menu is not as expansive as some other competitors in the market, but this is balanced out by an extreme focus on quality of food.
