Taqueria Local - Washington DC

The idea of doing an all artisanal fast casual menu certainly isn't new, but Taqueria Local is where it happens best. There's unlimited potential here. Try the mushroom taco. Even as a person who is not always a fan of vegetarian/vegan cuisine, it's in the flavor of the mushroom taco where the excellence lies. The pork and Greek options are also terrific, and to be honest if you're a taco super-aficionado, it's actually the all natural soft shells that truly win. Also, stick around for the crab meat tostadas. They are phenomenal.

First time I visited Taqueria Local, it has been a very good experience, I loved the different options to combine your own order. The tacos taste amazing flavor, one of the best tacos I've had tested in DC. great customer service!! Excellent atmosphere and food to come.

Hands down best tacos A in the city. And the margarita and sangria is tha best ! Great family oriented restaurant.

I wanted to check this place out opening night but couldn’t. Of course it snows the next day but the snow was not going to dispresct my Taco Tuesday! Once I arrived and saw the incredible mural on the wall I was eager to see the menu. The menu has a great mix for the full spectrum of tastes. My favorites were the ‘carnitas’ and the ‘pescado’! Horchata hit the spot to wash it all down. I would definitely recommend this place to all my friends. Great job!

Favorite spot in DC for pupusas! I tried their vegan menu for DC Veg Restaurant Week and was surprised at the creative options for vegans! I had vegan pupusas with cashew cheese, Palm of hearts ceviche and jackfruit empanadas, I hope they keep these on their everyday menu soon! The staff was also very nice and welcoming, it was my first time going in vs ordering out thru delivery and loved their space, it's beautiful!
