Bidrage med feedbackThe restaurant lacks aesthetics and outstanding service, but the food is fantastic. The pastrami sandwich is phenomenal (5/5). The French fries had a wonderful aroma, but unfortunately, they were a bit under-seasoned—fluffy rather than crunchy. The place was quite crowded, which was a little overwhelming (2/5), but it seemed like many were regulars. Overall, don’t go in expecting anything beyond good food. They have parking available, but they don’t accept credit cards.
Nooooo. First time there, my husband and I got food to go. I?m eating my grits and see a black thing, I think it?s from the grits maybe burning or a brown piece of grain NO it?s a BABY ROACH. Never again will I eat from here EVER
Best pastrami sandwich in DC....by a landslide! A few other places had a decent one (like now closed On Rye in Chinatown), but they were always overpriced and just not worth the money. For under $9, you can get a large hot pastrami sandwich that will rock your taste buds (and it comes with a really, really good pickle). Don't get me wrong. This place doesn't look cool and it's a hike to get there (it's nowhere close to a metro), but it's worth it. It's a 1960s small hut with
This charming little spot has been a favorite of mine for decades. I absolutely love the food, from their huge sandwiches to the hearty dinner plates. The atmosphere is always warm and welcoming.
The breakfast was quite disappointing. There was no seasoning on any of the dishes, and the turkey sausage was of poor quality. The fried potatoes were mushy, and the bread was only partially covered in jelly.
