The Avenue And Capital Crab

Unfortunately, our visit to the restaurant did not meet our expectations. We had to send back our drinks, and our food orders were incomplete. The server and the food runner were not on the same page regarding which dressings were available. Although it was a beautiful day to sit outside, we were bothered by persistent flies and an influx of bees, prompting us to leave much sooner than we typically would have.

The food here is delicious, and it’s a wonderful neighborhood restaurant. It’s ideal for families with young children, offering a variety of options on the kids' menu and generous portion sizes for all meals. I will definitely return!

I made a reservation and called to make sure they had crabs. I drove 45 minutes to get there. When the waiter was seated me I let him know what we wanted. It took him 10 minutes to comeback and say they didn’t have any crabs. I’m very disappointed that I wasted my time and gas.

It has been a while since we went to The Avenue, so had tickets to Avalon and decided to try it again The first time we thought was very good. This time very average... chowder soup and cheese steak appetizer were OK, but nothing that I could highly recommend perhaps it was an off night or different cook?

The service was slow. The food was served cold and the cheeseburger was close to raw.
