Slate Wine - Washington

I would give more than 5 stars if I could. the device is amazing and service top notch. gabby was our server (highly recommended as server.) she is so knowledgeable and charismatic. very professional throughout service. after that we had nicole, which served us our food. she was on the go with food information and description as well as the wine pairing. sophie came by to check us and offer us more wine highlights. overall it was an amazing experience. I appreciate her hard work and know her, so please be nice to her servers. their time and their knowledge are important. will definitely be back, amazing sport and 100% recommend wine lovers and people 21 years.

The service was excellent and the portions were generous. Unfortunately, our pork dish was overly salty, but the accompanying sauce was delicious.

"...which somehow falls short of expectations" (and the constant stream of people being turned away as they try to enter the restaurant creates a rather odd atmosphere.)

Slate is not a xiquet. same cooking, but for us different experience. we loved xiquet. more wrong — not so much. the otopus was hard. the wagyu was just fine, and the cheesecake was not good at all. our server was also good. the whole evening felt like a flop. perhaps it was just one of those times when they could not meet the brand; but that they generally offer a great culinary experience. it was a two-star experience. the third star is there because xiquet carries a little weight and I want to give the chef the advantage of the doubt. I'll give some time and try again.

This restaurant is a hidden treasure that offers delicious cocktails and food that rivals Michelin-star quality. The ambiance is sophisticated and trendy, and the service is top-notch.
