Shake Shack First National Building Downtown Detroit

After our trip to the Smithsonian Art Museum, we chose to have a quick meal. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the restaurant had a clean, welcoming atmosphere. The food was fresh and delicious. However, we would have liked to see more vegetarian options for our child, although the mushroom burger was quite tasty. The prices were a bit high, but that’s typical for the city.

I ordered the Shack Stack, which is a combination of a mushroom burger and a cheeseburger, and I have to say it was an absolute 10/10. The sauce, meat, and cheese were all fantastic! I also enjoyed the bacon cheese fries; they were delicious and quite filling. Overall, I highly recommend this place, but keep in mind that it's often busy, so the tables might not be very clean.

This was my first visit to Shake Shack, and I wanted to find out if it lived up to its reputation and the ongoing debate over whether it or In-N-Out serves the better burger. I have to say, the shakes we ordered were absolutely fantastic! As for the burgers, they were good but didn’t fully meet my expectations. They were juicy and well-cooked, with a richer flavor than In-N-Out. However, I did find them a bit pricey compared to other places like Five Guys or Johnny Rockets, which I actually prefer. Because of this, I’m giving Shake Shack a four-star rating instead of five. On the positive side, the staff was quick and friendly, so I really can’t complain!

I recently tried Shake Shack for the first time, and I was really impressed by how delicious the burger was. It was tender, juicy, and perfectly sized. The crinkle-cut fries and chicken bites were also really tasty. Unfortunately, the shake custard machine was out of order during my visit, but I definitely plan to visit another location soon to try it.

I don’t usually write negative reviews; I prefer to keep quiet if I don’t have anything helpful to say. However, I did notice that the staff were genuinely doing their best. I have to mention that the mushroom burger was, without a doubt, the best I’ve ever had! That being said, it was quite pricey and rather small—it felt more like a slider than a full-sized burger.
