Bidrage med feedbackI couldn?t say enough nice things about this place if I tried. After some extensive research combining ambience, food, dessert, cost, business (I?m still very covid-conscious, and overall experience, I decided on this place for our 2-year dating anniversary dinner. We had a reservation for 7pm on a Wednesday night. There were about 10 other guests there and we were hid away in a corner away from all of them which made my night very comfortable. The host asked the occasionand were very pleased to hear we chose them as our place to celebrate. The waiter, Jonathan, was full of great suggestions?we decided on the garlic bread and spiced calamari to start, a couple of cocktails, my boyfriend chose the goatcheese ravioli and I chose the gnocchi and mushroom dish. Everything was delicious (the gnocchi practically melted in my mouth) and the portions weren?t too big. In my opinion, the dishes were well-priced for the quality without breakingthe bank. We both had dessert?tiramisu and the hazelnut cake?and both were divine. The restaurant helped us celebrate too with two glasses of champagne, a vanilla sorbet, and a lovely card. Thank you so much, Jonathan and Steven (Manager),for your wonderful service and gorgeous location. Last night was a night we?ll remember for a long time!
Service was great and food was delicious. The garlic bread was a decent size for two and my pasta dish was the perfect dinner serving. The server was kind enough to gift us soft serve ice cream to eat with our cake.
Went for dinner and got the garlic bread to start and the lasagna as my main dish. This restaurant was amazing and very authentic. The staff was extremely friendly. Had a cake, which I forgot the name of, for dessert and it tasted like a ferrero rocher! Great restaurant overall and I can?t wait to come back.
Eating while black harrassment last weekend, we have kept in the frame of my birthday party at sfoglina. we were both excited to try this restaurant for dinner. before dinner we had a fantastic time visiting and hanging out in dc with friends. we arrived in the restaurant for our reservations of 7 o'clock. the host confirmed our reservation and inquired who had the birthday, and we pointed out that it was my men's celebration. we were then sitting on our seat in the back of the restaurant next to where they keep this cute, and waiter deliveries / equipment. our waiter came to welcome us and took our drink order and our brot request. about 10 minutes in the experience of restaurant managers, steven sullivan approached our table and begin to ask if everything was in order. he said that he noticed that we were calm and it didn't seem that we were hanging a good time, and nobody came to our table. we answered that we were good and had no problems. we looked confused not to understand what just happened. when we finished the meal, the waiter came back and gave us a dessert menu and went away. two minutes later, Mr. sullivan returned to our table and asked again if everything was in order, and I asked him why he thought it necessary to return to our table when we did not apply to a manager. herr sullivan said his senses were high and he felt that we had no good experience. again I told him that our experience was in order until he returned unrequired to our table, which felt extremely unpleasant and at the place of the harassment. at the view around the restaurant we noticed that we were the only black in the restaurant, and that did not disturb us at all. we were there to have a great experience and see what the whole rave was about the pasta for which they are famous. I told him that we had no problems and celebrated my man birthday when he answered and said he wanted to give us a dessert and birthday card. we told him that was not necessary, but he insisted. then he gave us the scary and pointed out that he had removed the costs for the glittering water and broth. sir, I didn't need them to remove anything from our bill because we could pay for everything we bought, and that felt very insulting. And in that, if they wanted to do one please, first, they stay away from our table, we never asked them, let alone they came twice to harass us. secondly, if they want to pay for everything, they pay back for the bourbon because the glass in which I was served was chipped, and when it was returned, it had less bourbon than the original glass. Third, my man was never recognized by our waiter for his birthday. So, with who said who trains them with their intuition or high sense, they have to get their money back because they were totally wrong. leave them black people in rest and let them enjoy their evening outside as they mow with their whites!
Over the past weekend, we made reservations at Sfoglina as part of my husband birthday celebration. We were both excited about trying this restaurant for dinner. Prior to dinner, we were having a fantastic time visiting and hanging out in DC with friends. We arrived at the restaurant for our 7 pm reservations. The host confirmed our reservation and inquired who was having the birthday and we pointed out that it was my husbands celebration. We were then escorted to our seat mid-way of the back of the restaurant next to where they keep the silverware, and waiters supplies/equipment. Our waiter came to greet us, and took our drink order and bread request. About 10 mins into the experience the restaurant manager, Steven Sullivan approached our table and begin to inquire if everything was okay. We responded yes, and why do you ask? He stated that he noticed that we were quiet and it didn't seem that we were hanging a good time, and no one had come to our table. We responded that we were fine, and had no issues whatsoever. We looked at each other puzzled, not understanding what just happened. Finally, as we were ending the meal, the waiter came again and gave us a dessert menu and walked away. Two minutes later, Mr. Sullivan returned to our table and again asked if everything was okay, and I asked him why he felt it was necessary to return to our table when we didn't make any request for a manager. Mr. Sullivan continued by saying well his senses were high and he felt that we were not having a good experience. Again, I stated to him that our experience was fine until he returned to our table again unsolicited which made us feel extremely uncomfortable and at the point of harassment. When looking around the restaurant we noticed that we were the only blacks in the restaurant, and that didn't bother us at all. We were there to have a great experience and to see what all the rave was about the pasta they are famous for. I stated to him that we didn't have any problems and was celebrating my husbands birthday, when he replied and said he wanted to give us some dessert and birthday card. We told him that wasn't necessary, but he then insisted. He then gave us the check and pointed out that he had removed the cost for the sparkling water and bread. Sir, I didn't need you to remove anything from our bill because we were able to pay for whatever we purchased, and this felt very insulting. And in fact, if you wanted to do us a favor, first, stay away from our table, we never requested you, let alone you came twice to harass us. Second, if you want to pay for anything, pay for the bourbon I returned because the glass I was served in was chipped, and when it was returned, it had less bourbon than the original glass. Thirdly, my husband was never recognized by our waiter for his birthday. So, with that said, whomever is coaching you with your intuition or high senses you need to get your money back because you were completely wrong. Leave black people alone and let them enjoy their evening out, just as you do with your white patrons!
