Mi Casita Bakery And Deli - Washington

Great little spot. Bakery but I go there for the excellent tacos and burritos. Good value and always excellent service. These folks are in there getting their days baking started at 2am long before they open everyday. Food is always quick and tastes great. This spot has a large, regular, and steady Latino customer base that if I knew nothing else would reassure me on the value and quality of the food. Parking not super plentiful but you won't need to stay there long if you are just picking up something to go in which case there is usually room to park nearby on the street.

I just discovered this bakery today, tucked away from 14th Street. Since I was already in the area, I decided to give it a try. The exterior looks small, but the interior is quite spacious. Upon entering, I was greeted by a wide selection of pastries and ample table seating. An older gentleman, who I believe is the owner, welcomed me and highlighted their freshly made conchas. It had been a while since I last had a concha, so I decided to order one. Along with a canned drink, my total came to about $3.00. After my first bite, I knew he was right about the concha—it was still warm, as if it had just come out of the oven. What I loved even more was the lovely outdoor seating. This place really captures the essence of Mexican culture, and I absolutely love it!

I think these are the best tacos in DC. Seems like a lot of people in the reviews don't like the service but its an OG mexican joint that takes a few min to prep your fresh food. Seriously, everyone was so kind, but could only speak Spanish. Like if the woman taking your order cant speak a lick of english and has a baby swaddled on her back in the traditional way, you know it's . Use google translate to order in spanish yall.

I had an outstanding experience with the authentic Mexican cuisine here. I rate it a perfect 10 out of 10! The parking situation is a bit challenging, but that's typical throughout the city. The Huevos a la Mexicana were absolutely delicious!

Delicious and authentic Latin American cuisine at a very reasonable price, with generous portions. I haven't tried the baked goods yet, but they look absolutely tempting!
