Capitol Square Grill - Washington

The experience was amazing! Although the restaurant was quite empty during our visit, we still enjoyed the great ambiance and cleanliness of the place. It felt smaller than what was shown on Instagram, though. The food portions were a bit small for the price, but they were tasty, even if the selection was limited—perhaps due to the weekend menu, I'm not sure. I definitely plan to return. It's a lovely spot for entertaining friends, going on dates, or spending time with family. If you appreciate well-presented, quality African cuisine, this is the place for you. And the cocktails were fantastic!

The food was outrageously overpriced. Paying $50 for a plate of Jollof rice is just ridiculous. We also ordered the mimosa tower, but they only gave us five tablespoons of juice to go with it, and there were no refills offered. I couldn't believe it! The service was extremely slow and disappointing. The owner was rude and unprofessional, which led us to decide to leave. I could share more about our experience, but I’ll keep it at that for now.

I've been to Capitol Square Bar Grill 4x in 4 weeks. It's that great. Mocktails, cocktails, apps during happy hour, Sunday brunch and catered events. This is the place for flavor, fun and friends!

I like the level of light in the restaurant, not dark. The staff was extremely friendly. Dinner was delicious. Large portions that allowed for take-home.

My boyfriend and I visited this restaurant after coming across a video on Instagram. I have to say, the food exceeded our expectations! We tried the chicken and mambo sauce deviled eggs, the lamb with mashed potatoes and spinach, the red snapper served with jollof rice and vegetables, and the pineapple fire drinks. Everything was perfectly seasoned and absolutely satisfying. We'll definitely be returning!
