Bidrage med feedbackI live about 10 miles from this restaurant, and with the traffic in Connecticut, it's not always easy to get there. However, it remains my favorite local spot. The food is exceptional, with every item on the menu offering a delightful surprise. When you first walk in, it seems nice but unassuming. But then you take the first bite, and the second, and suddenly you're thinking, "Wow, this is amazing!" The gumbo is especially excellent—I often order it to go. And the Pittsburgh cheesesteak? It completely outshines anything from Philly—seriously, take I-95 and try this one! On my most recent visit, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and order the pasta bolognese. Sounds boring, right? Wrong! It was so good that my eyes rolled back in my head. And about that unpretentious vibe? It's super kid-friendly, too. Cheers to Blue 44—may it continue to thrive and prosper!
I expected this place to be a football sports bar based on its name, but that wasn't the case. I'm intrigued by how the owner came up with the name Blue 44. Even though the Seahawks game wasn't on when I arrived, I had enough time to sample the food since it was still brunch. The restaurant had an incredible aroma. I decided to order a bacon cheeseburger, and it turned out to be fantastic!
We collaborated with Blue 44 for a large event at the Escher apartments in the Washington metropolitan area. Chris and his team truly impressed us with their meticulous attention to detail, exceptional service, and delicious food. They swiftly curated an excellent menu, managed the delivery and setup of the event, and received numerous compliments from our residents.
Delicious food at a reasonable price, along with a friendly staff. They also offer great gluten-free options. Price per person: $20–30. Food: 5/5, Service: 5/5, Atmosphere: 4/5.
I haven't received my food yet, but I can confidently say this is the best bread I've ever had. Service: Dine-in Food: 5 stars.
