It tastes like home ??If you're craving for filipino food, this is the right spot!The chef mixes tradition and creativity without loosing the authenticity! I had the chance to talk to Erwin (the chef) and he told me about the experiences which have brought him here to Balangay and I could feel the power of passion.. and that's exactly what the dishes are made of: love and passion.I would definitely recommend it!

Chef Wing is amazing! We had the Chicken Inasal, Ensaladang talong, BBQ skewers, and Halayang ube dessert. This was our first time trying Filipino food, and it far exceeded our expectations. Balangay is currently operating out of Sospeso on H street on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so be sure to stop by! We will definitely be back

Chef Wing helped plan a wonderful weekend dinner for me even after the pop-up closed. We had an amazing 5-course meal in a private space. Each course was outstanding in its own unique way, and I would urge anyone who is on the fence about trying this meal to absolutely do so. I am looking forward to supporting Chef Wing and experiencing what other delights he'll create in the future.

Shoutouts of appreciation to Chef Wing and the team of Balangay DC! They hosted us for an incredible kamayan dinner feast with family and friends for my birthday. Each bite of our meal was absolutely scrumptious! We thoroughly enjoyed each of the flavors and elements of Chef Wing’s kamayan style dinner: from the rich flavors of the chicken inasal to the crispiness and juiciness of adobo wings, both renditions of calamari accompanied with squid ink aioli, the first crunchy bite and then comfort of lumpia, the freshness of the kinilaw, the delectable puso ng saging (banana blossoms), and more! We enjoyed our experience at Balangay DC and can’t wait to come back again!

I give this place 10. We love all the food. Authentic Filipino food served with fine dinning flavors and presentation. The Chef definitely elevated the flavors in every dish. I have been to Kuya Ja’s, Kaliwa and Purple Patch and this place is hands down my favorite! It doesn’t look like much from the outside but you will be glad you stop by. The staff was diverse and phenomenal. Very inviting, polite, and attentive. I will definitely be stopping by. #pinoypride!
