I had the Ukrainian Borscht and baked beans (Fasola po bretońsku and both were delicious, really hit the spot. This place is not Frills, but the dining room is actually decent looking, not a sad Soviet space. And the best part is the kitchen with female chefs running around, fulfilling orders as they come, and then scream in the dining room when the dish is up. Very recommended if you are a local who is looking for a cheap lunch option or a tourist looking for an experience.
It is one of the best places to visit in Warsaw Centrum if you want to try local polishing food at affordable price. Fast service and amazing taste with great variety to choose what you want to try. Can visit anytime, either for breakfast, brunch or dinner
Wow, just wow! The best meal I had here in Warsaw. Everything was hearty and very tasteful. Great value for money. Do not let yourself be deceived by the unshakable outdoor and sleep atmosphere inside and ask for the English menu because it is on the wall in Polish. I got the “flaki” soup (slow boiled beef tripe), roasted cable in dough, and meatball in mushroom sauce, plus one side of pearl barley and their homemade juice. Everyone was cooked for perfection, even the fishbatter was so seasoned, and the mushroom sauce made me wish more. Make a f(l)avor and give this milk bar a visit!
Milk bar Really good traditional polish food at extremely affordable prices! Loved the flacki (beef tripe soup) although it was a little salty. The calf was also good! In general, the shares are on the smaller side, but for the paid price it is still worth money. It is important that all articles were selected, were delicious and secret. You also have an English menu (for it on the counter). Pro Tip: After ordering, the checkout will give you an order form for handover to the kitchen. Kitchen staff are not speaking English, so just keep an eye for when your food is ready by remembering what you have ordered.
This is a milk bar in the center of Warsaw. I have been there on a saturday evening. It wasn’t so crowded like I expected so I didn’t wait in the line for a long time. I have ordered zurek and a mix pierogi plate. They were a m a z i n g! On pierogi plate, they gave me 6 big pierogis with different fillings. The portions were too big that I could hardly eat them all, but they were very good so I had to finish! :D If you are around Centrum and you want to try Poland’s famous milk bar concept, you should definitely visit Bar Bambino.
