Bottega Toscana Italian Pizza Pasta

Beyond disappointed with our experience at Bottega Toscana! Called to make a booking a few days prior to our attempted dining and were told they were not taking bookings, walk in only. Happy to wait for a table, we arrived at 6:20pm the night of. They were at their maximum capacity but we spoke with a staff member who told us we could wait outside until a table became free. We did so for 35 minutes. During our wait, a couple came by and deliberated about whether or not they should wait for a table too. They spoke with another staff member and were told to come back in half an hour. Based on their exchange, it was clear they knew one another. Finally, a table became available and as we made our way inside, we were told we couldn’t sit there because there was a booking! When we enquired as to how, as this completely contradicted being told they weren’t taking bookings, the staff member said somebody else came before us, referring to the couple they knew that came after us! Obviously we were extremely disappointed. Fine if they want to keep their regulars/friends happy, no worries. But don’t leave us standing outside for 35 minutes under the impression we’ll get the next table... simple communication and honesty would have gone a long way through telling us not to wait, rather than wasting our time. Highly inconsiderate. I have no doubt the food is nice but unfortunately we didn’t even get to the point of eating...

The best and most authentic pizza in Warrnambool. Our pizza's were delicious with a beautiful, light crust. Lovely people I would highly recommend.

Really enjoyed waiting outside for the restaurant to open. Said on the door it was opening at 5pm and there were staff inside but never opened the door.

Authentic Italian cuisine, hand made fresh pasta, delicious salads and amazing pizza....!!! Friendly service and delightful atmosphere....!!!FIVE STARS
