Bidrage med feedbackI'm a regular here and love the great "old fashion" Cantonese style Chinese food. The restaurant isn't huge
We eat or get takeaway from here all the time. We have never been disappointed taste is yummy staff are friendly and when we come in they always remember what we like. Portions are big food is hot fresh and perfect. The view of Warriewood Beach is also a bonus.
We dine regularly at Sea Star and always enjoy our meals. We love chicken cashew nut with chilli jam and the fried rice is delicious. Generous portions too! It's popular with locals and the staff are friendly. The owners have been there a long time and they provide quick service and remember our favourites which is nice!
Ok, I'm really confused at their raving reviews and popularity. My mum is their biggest fan. Admittingly, Chinese food is never my go to meal but I honestly don't see why everyone loves this packed out (ok, it's packed out with 50 oldies who love their Chinese) and can't understand the new Thai and Indian 'fad'. But honestly, the calamari was thick, tough and not hot like I love my food, the Chinese broccoli was ok but was topped with a cold oyster sauce and the duck pancakes ( $$$$) which I don't eat, my son thinks are Amazing!!! Bill was astonishingly expensive and felt sick and unsatisfied. Everything is frozen and of the lowest quality. Maybe it's just the new generation seeing what **** our parents call food???? Sorry Sea Star- grossssss....
The staff could not be more welcoming and happy to converse, explain and serve. They actually pre-empted requests and were attentive to the table. The food was great and the fried rice was delicious. It was real fried rice, rather than the usual boiled with soy sauce colouring that you find a other lesser quality restaurants. BUT, don't go just for great service and food, go for the view, right over Warriewood Beach. Grab a table outside and relax, enjoy and unwind.
