Bidrage med feedbackCider was good. Service was below average. Gratuity was auto added at 20% for 2 adults and 4 young kids. The waitress only came to the table 4 times start to finish throughout a 75 minute meal, over $200 in food and beverage before tip I would have expected reasonable service. The gratuity was also auto added on top of $75 of cider that we bought to-go. I don't think grabbing cider from the case was worth $15... Purchase to-go separately to make sure this does not happen to you! Also didn't get a print out of our bill until after we paid, otherwise I would have caught this issue.
I've gone twice in the last few weeks because they have gluten-free fries, and the food is genuinely really good. The staff are usually always nice. However, I do have to note that they have been super understaffed lately. I typically go on Fridays and it's busy, there's only one server, one cook, and the wait is super long. I know some days I am not always able to sit there for two hours and I'm sure that is similar for others, too.
The food was decent. The cider was amazing. The service was pretty slow considering there were maybe 4 tables full. It was $5 extra for added protein (bacon slices) to the Mac n cheese which we thought was ridiculous. The Mac n cheese itself was $12 so the added protein was almost half the price?? Super cute restaurant just not the best first time experience.
Always love visiting Ash and Elm. Best cider we've ever had. Food is always great. Do yourself a favor and get the elote fritters!!
While visiting from out of town, we decided to try Ash and Elm because we saw that it had several Gluten free options for our son. All of us were very pleased with our food choices. The Cuban was delicious. The Smash Burger on Gluten Free got rave reviews from our son with Celiac Disease, and our daughter loved her Mac n Cheese. We would seek this place out if we ever return to Indy.Dietary restrictions: My son has Celiac so he ordered the Smash Birger with Gluten Free bun option. While it did not come out on a bun, but rather Gluten Free bread, the bread was thick “like French Toast bread” as he described it, and he said it was very good!
