Bidrage med feedbackThe barbecue was delicious. Loved the chopped pork, sweet sauce, blackberry cobbler. The dining room sector was fun. Less than 10 min from I 65. Highly recommend!
This is an unusual place and a little out of the way but it rates as our family's #1 pick for bbq in all our travels and we've been a lot of places in a lot of states. Very humble building, super clean and the food is outstanding. All of it! The meats are so flavorful and their sauces are very unique. I ordered several sides my sides were green beans, mac and cheese and cooked apple slices. All of it was great. My family raves about their meat as better and different than any they find anywhere else. They have amazing prices and you can get larger quantities to go, like by the pound. Their sweet tea was great and I'm an expert! We went a long way out of our way to come here. You should look it up and try it. You'll be glad you went to the trouble. My meat loving family gives it the highest marks. Highly recommend!
Wanted southern BBQ while in Bowling Green area. Picked Split Tree based on Trip Advisor. It didn't disappoint. We all had the rib lunch. Some with beans, some with cold slaw, some all with Mac cheese. I had mashed potatoes. Ribs were perfect. Mac cheese were the bomb. I loved the potatoes but others thought they had too much of a vinegar taste. We highly recomend for bbq. Closed mon and Tuesday due to lack of staffing. Very reasonable.
It has become a tradition that we go to Split Tree BBQ every time we are in Bowling Green. Our first visit was in 1999 when they were still in the old building with the split tree in the gravel parking lot. We both had a pulled pork sandwich and the taste was perfect. Split Tree BBQ has only improved with time.
We had a family gathering at the Split Tree. The staff was helpful and served the 15 of us quickly. The food was hot and tasty and price was reasonable.
