Fish Nets Warkworth

Just had the best fish and chips! The fish was perfectly golden, crispy on the outside and tender inside, and the chips were just the right balance of fluffy and crunchy. The portions were generous, and the service is friendly and welcoming. Definitely my new go-to spot for fish and chips! Highly recommend trying it out if you're in the area. A noticeable shrinkage on portion size of the fish on my 3rd visit. They used to provide free ketchup, salt pepper sachets and lemon slice as well, but I guess economy is tight these days, and the value for what I paid is pretty much very good here. All in all, quality is still one of the best. They should teach most fish and chips shops in NZ how to deep fry chips, as theirs are perfectly crispy. Good thing is that they are still generous with the chips, I couldn’t count how many they gave, like other shops, if you know what I mean. I also had the veggie rolls, crabsticks and fish cakes previously and they were delicious. Service, as usual, very friendly. Would love to come back.

Great feed, Great service. Called in on our way home to Whangarei and has to be 1 of the best feeds of fish and chips I have had in a looooong while. The owner was very accommodating and let us bring the table and chairs inside as it was freezing. Would definitely go back. Service: Dine in Meal type: Brunch

I LOVE fish and chips but these guys are THE BEST! Crispy batter, fresh fish, added sachets of salt and pepper and a wee tub of tomato sauce topped with a lemon wedge. Got the gurnard and chips. $12. Amazing value and beyond the best I have ever had. Thank you!! Will definitely recommend and I will be back! Such a bummer. Went back about 6 months later and was just awful. Obviously frozen fish. Chips yuk. Inedible really. So dissapointing. Service: Takeaway
