Bidrage med feedbackThe great steak menu advertised on the website of benedicts brought us in. Complimated with the beautiful antlitzlift on the outside, forced to try the only self-worn steak house between trail castlegar. we traveled from castlegar in the hope to be surprised while not. high hopes due to all challenges small city restaurants are faced with these days after the pandemic. we have kept our expectations low to be fair! we have reviewed their website Facebook page and came to the understanding that Benedict’s steak house restaurant was open and ready to go, just to be surprised to see at the restaurant front door they were closed due to personal lack. ok. understandable, but it would have been nice to know these information in advance on their website or FB page. Okay, so we took a deep breath and tried the pub entrance just to hope that the pub had a similar menu with its brothers...and they did it! so we were more than happy to sit on their outside terrace and order our food. at first our server was friendly, friendly and did everything she could to mange all the tables into the best of what she could. my 8oz filet was not even close to being medium / rare, as it was the best made steak I had ever been served in any restaurant in my life. the nativity of my wife was tasty, but also not medium or medium. but well done. her prime rib and yorkshire pudding was served with no gravy that has never seen. we have never complained about the meal as we thought we were regrettable what the server had to bear in this restaurant. fyi, this pub/restaurant is not a “fine dining room” or “romantic atmosphere experience” .through each stretch of imagination, yet the quality of the food in the position to compensate the general bad experience in this facility. I wish I had written a master's exam for this local facility, but maybe they must have scaled their menu down so that they can focus more on what the customer actually ordered, especially when it comes to higher meat cuts.
We stayed a week on the street and visited the pub daily. a huge selection of menu items, so that the visit never became boring. all the items we ordered came as they should, hot and fresh. the personal was courteous and friendly. After the first day, they remembered us, and we call ourselves with names, we felt like home. the ribs were fresh and delicate fall of the bone. the salates were crunchy and cool.
Recommend: if I were a negative star rating. absolutely the worst zeasar I've ever tried. Maybe they should include in the menu that they have a full of garlic in the dresses. the waitress explained that the cook puts two handful of garlic in the zeasar dressing like what?! had two bites and my nase and mouth burned out the taste of the garlic and are still an hour later. the waitress took off the additional 3 dollar fee for the zeasar I was grateful, but did not definitiw what I expected when I ordered a zeasarsalat. I should not leave a restaurant that feels sick, from the amount of garlic that they have called into being. I totally dropped off to the rest of my meal, as I could only taste garlic. I love garlic, but it has an extremely strong taste and a little goes away a long one. after tasting, I wonder whether the cook has ever tried it once. but we have received a reasonable service that I seriously ask how to make money from it at all. started with the wings that were bbq kalk, which were delicious, but a great disappointment when the main course came.
For lunch with friends in the tunnel pub, I had the seafood wrap, and hubby had the chicken sluice, both were awesome, we were very happy with the food and menu selection. we will try again
They were about 14 of us for dinner including five young children. They were little bit loud in the restaurant seemed to be okay with that the food was decent. The Caesars were wonderful! The decor is dated but clean
